that's the most horrifying crash I have seen in a very, very, very long time. Simply incredible that Grosjean is able to walk away from this, thank god.

No more complaining about the halo after that one. Insane, I can't even fathom how he got out.

That was horrific in every way imaginable. It’s a miracle he survived. Thank god for the halo, fireproof race suits and safety design.
His hands looked gnarly in that shot when he got out of the medical car.
That’s the most nervous I’ve been in a long time in that 4 or 5 minutes between the crash and the live shot of him alive.
That shot of his front end and cockpit practically melted into the barrier was one of the craziest goddamn things I’ve ever seen. Just ####ing crazy.

The real hero was the track crew attendant’s response pulling him out of fully involved vehicle on fire.

He credits the halo for saving his life, saying he initially opposed it:

I was sure he was gone. I was just getting up to leave when they showed him in the medical car, appearing completely fine.

Not much else to add. Just a horrific crash. The halo clearly saved his life. It's also a miracle it happened when it did. That track official had a squirt gun for am extinguisher and it was the medical car being so close that may have helped keep the fire at bay and save him from much worse burns. So lucky.

The monocoque actually got stuck in the barrier so the forward momentum of the heavier engine + tranny literally sheared the 4 engine mounting bolts off. My buddy at Toro is going to try and get the FIA report on it. He was amazed at how fast Grosjean got out, the damage to the barrier, and how well the halo held up.
Results are in...DFO takes the win with 4 correct and 25pts, well done! My strategy of not picking Bottas or Stroll is working out as I grabbed 2nd with 3 & 21pts.
Agulati pulled 1 back on Jayswin and it tightens to just a 2 point lead. Going to come down to the last race!! Sakhir GP is this coming week
