Pedestrian for a card of that magnitude I should say.

The hype around it was pretty standard, nothing extra special was done. Dana White has lamented on that fact when talking about ufc 200 recently IIRC.

I'm no judge but I had that 48-47 Dillashaw.

IMO he won 2,4,5, 2 was close but 4&5 were clear.

If you're the champ and you win the championship rounds you deserve to win the fight.

Was a great fight. Good on Cruz for coming back from injuries.

Lol at 2 judges scoring it 49-46 in opposite ways.

if you haven't seen pictures of Mitrione's eye from his fight tonight, think twice before you do.

It will be the MMA equivalent of Hasim Rahman's head hematoma.

Happy for Cruz.. really inspiring to see him win against Dillashaw after so many set backs. I felt like I was the only guy cheering him on.

I thought Cruz was full marks. Landed way more and countered Dillashaw's misses very effectively. Dillashaws face post fight was evidence of the disparity in effective strikes.

Never have been a fan of Cruz's persona or fight style, however I do feel that he won that fight. TJ was gassed after the second round, kept swinging for the fences and hitting nothing.

Yeah I thought Cruz won 3-2 though. I have no idea how you get 49-46, never mind that it was for each guy? That's ridiculous. I thought it was a close fight.

Penn making a comeback @ 145.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/1/19...that-145-pound

Quote:
BJ Penn: The former two-division UFC champion, who last year was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, announced Tuesday on The MMA Hour that he is officially coming out of retirement with famed trainer Greg Jackson in his corner.

"That's who I am, Ariel," Penn told host Ariel Helwani. "That's who I am. That's what I do.

"I want to go get that 145-pound belt. That's definitely a huge motivation for me. I believe with Greg Jackson's help, I can get that done. And I believe that I will be able to walk away as the only man with three titles in three weight divisions."

BJ Penn doesn't have much of a chance in that division. Edgar has whooped his ass three times, and he's only probably the third best fighter at 145.

Crazy.

Yeah, don't see him keeping up with the talent in the LW division.
