Danielle mentioned she's going to watch all three Star Trek series with her grandson.
There should be four at this point, and I want to know which one didn't make it into the timeline.

Probably the TOS: Animated series.
Lots of people never even knew it was made.
Maybe Enterprise?
Maybe Ed Baldwin is....Captain Archer!!

Saw it mentioned elsewhere that this line could have been a little inside baseball from Ronald Moore ripping on Trek and whatever series he didn't care for at that point in time (he wrote and directed episodes of TNG I believe).

Now that you mention it, I recall there was some behind the scenes stuff when Moore jumped from DS9 to Voyager, then promptly left Voyager. I don't recall specifically what, though. I just like to think he graduated from DS9 and went on to Battlestar Galactica.

When did the Baldwins adopt a daughter?
Who is Tracy’s fiancée?
How did Aleida end up in a trailer?

Not impressed with Season 2, Episodes 1 and 2 and just finished Episode 3, which was just terrible for the reasons you mentioned above. We're considering bailing on the show. Does it get better? Do we stick it out?

It definitely does, though you haven't hit the lowest part yet. Generally the Earth side of season 2 is pretty lacking, but the space side really ramps up and is worth sticking around for. Thankfully the Earth stuff gets a lot better in seasons 3 and 4

It was good, but I thought they’d push some consequences even further.

A literal Chekhov's gun
Sam's scene was the best for me. Moving in silence with those boosters in the background. Cool visual.

For All Mankind....
They should have named the mining village "Ambivalent Valley."

Liked this season. Didn’t love it.
I’d say this was the weakest season thus far.

I thought for sure Kelly would discover life on Mars this season.

My bet was she would find signs of life, then the asteroid would overburn, fall out of orbit, hit the ice cap, and destroy her research, leaving a big question mark. but since the happy valley base is as good as a fallout shelter, most of the crew would be OK. Dev would get to setup a mining operation on Mars
Also that last shot, this is a prequel to The Expanse. Come on, it's gotta be.

Me too. That was another complaint I had.
But nothing

Given the cliches that have become prominent in this show in the past season I wouldn't be surprised to see it turn into a man vs machine AI plot line. And they will have to wrestle control of the base out of the control of the computer.
