Did you know that McDavid had the flu for 25 games?
As per Mark Spector
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/b...nators-oilers/
"In Edmonton, Connor McDavid carried a flu bug through most of the first 25 games. Hes carried himself more than admirably, but carrying the team the way he did last season has just been too much to ask."
Wow, the man is clearly a demigod. Incredible reporting Mark.

Clearly, McDavid is the best hockey player who ever lived. This much we know.
May as well cancel the season and hand the Stanley Cup to the Oilers. McDavid wins all individual awards, including Vezina and Norris.

You would think after something like game 5 they would make him get some rest.

For a guy touted to be as good as he is and a pro athlete isnt it alarming with regards to his health that he had the flu for not 25 days but 25 GAMES.
Ludicrous story by a blowhard reporter. Get rid of this guy already.

Well I would get sick too if I had to put that jersey on. At least he can still play after 25 games as I would probably be in a coma.

Hahaha, 25 games of flu. So he's saying he had the flu from Oct 4th to Nov 28th?
Pathetic.

What a herculean effort by McDavid. He's already getting his HHOF jacket fitted for playing 25 straight games with the flu.

I believe in the Jays.

The league needs to conduct an immediate investigation into the Oilers! Think about how many people they exposed to the influenza virus... themselves, support personnel, opposition teams, fans... the commissioner should fine them $25,000,000.00 and they should forfeit a 1st round draft pick...
