That was a third period effort as if smith or gio stood up at the intermission!! The power play is the #1, 2 and 3 reason we are not in the playoffs. GGs coaching #4.
Leading the league by almost 10% in missed shots.... what could this be attributed to? Too many none scoring chance shots that just don’t make it to the net? Too much focus on the point shot?

Flames were the better team. Flames can't score to save their lives. Gibson played well. Seems to be a common theme among others this season. f r u s t r a t i o n.
At least Dallas is losing?

Don't even care about this season anymore. They will fail to show up to start the game on Tuesday, just as they failed to show up tonight. The Oilers will embarrass them.
I just hope Tkachuk is okay. Nothing else really matters now.

The only silver lining if we miss the playoffs this year is this coaching staff will hopefully be gone I can't stand watching the team this year

2. Playing against a backup in his 3rd NHL game of the year and 7th of his career
3. Playing against a team with no playoff hope

Is this a surprise anymore ? Opposing losing 8 geames or more in a row and came in the dome and win. Flyers? Sabres and the Isles? What are the reasons other than we have a bunch of incapable and lazy hockey players?

Rust shaking game for Smith. He was a hot turd in the first period and then he shaped up quick.
I know its tough to swallow losses but in the grand scheme of things, this loss is going to help the team now that the #1 goalie is back on the case for the rest of the season.
Just doesn't help that the Home record is bad and they lay an egg after some inspiring W's on the road. Maybe it was the fact that Ottawa and Buffalo are burning tire fires beside a dumpster fire right now.
