The overhead of the splits he made, for that save, completely reminded me of Kipper. Great flexibility.

I'm starting to get excited about Tkachuk.. Like someone said, maybe he can carry a line soon like Gaudreau does?

Honestly, he does already. He carried Bennett and Jankowski, both are players that are solid passengers. They played well with Jagr when he was driving the line.
Tkachuk is even carrying the PP a little, his goalie screens have been improving a lot lately and have gotten him a couple of goals as of late.

That’s also a good illustration of why they need a more skilled winger than Hathaway on that line to get more scoring from Bennett and Jankowski.

Though he had success with them it is hard to argue that he carried a line he spent little more than 2 min on.

And not just one save but a pair. Right off the toe of his skate and then the heel of the glove.
Rittich, What a beauty!!!

Yes right up to the point of another bad penalty.

During the game there was a scrambly 30 seconds or so, bouncing pucks, giveaways between teams, nobody could do anything with the puck. Then Rick Ball said that “it’s like killing snakes with a rake out there” or something to that effect.
Pretty funny saying that I’ve never heard, and it kind of threw Jason York as he started to laugh as he was trying to say something about the game.
It just stuck with me then.

Hamilton's penalty was BS. It was a good defensive play, knocking the puck off of a stick.
