Bummer. He seemed to never really get off the ground this year. There were some blips here and there, but nothing sustained.

Just so you know, he looked quite a bit better last year in Florida. He was slow, but was extremely effective all over the ice. I'm surprised he dropped off so much this year, but I guess he is 45 as well.

Either way, I wish nothing but the best for Jagr. He's awesome and always will be awesome, but he just never got a chance to show it here.

I blame Cali for getting my hopes up.

It's too bad but I honestly had a feeling this would happen at the very beginning. He was signed far too late, got out of shape and rusty, and eventually his body gave up on him. Had the flames signed him in July or august, I bet it would have been different. Damn shame really, now he has to go out when essentially nobody wants him. He was slow, but I still think he was effective with limited use. Guess the Flames think otherwise.

I think the play of Hathaway, Mangipane and Jankowski have made Jagr expendable. That said I hope it's not true as I would like for Calgaryboy to see his national hero play for the Flames.

I feel really sad. His body just let him down. I think everyone wishes this went another way.

Thought he was statistically pretty good this season for his amount of play time. Not worth keeping around for the wisdom sharing still?

Disappointing. Glad I got my Jagr jersey and got to see a little of his classic magic, but was hoping for at least a post-goal salute!

That sucks.
At least we got to see Jagr in a Flames jersey and that is awesome.
No matter what.

Not having a training camp and signing during the season didn't help. I would think it factored into his groin injuries he has been dealing with.

If they're cutting him, better bring in someone to make up for what they were hoping to get from Jagr.

Man, I wished the Flames can do that with Brouwer and Stajan.

Disappointed in the Flames, again.

Would have liked to see him healthy for a stretch

I think it's the combo of slow and can't stay healthy...

Disappointing. Especially if Jagr actually wants to give more but the Flames are the ones cutting him loose. I thought he did quite well with Janko and Benny..

Yeah, I think that was the nail in the coffin of his career.

I don't think cut was a good choice of words...let's not start jumping to conclusions. They also said Jagr was waiting on medical advice.

You mean Hathaway? He's been here a while now, and provided more than Jagr.

Gully should have excused him from the bag skates which both led to missing several games.
