really? midnight? do you need it that badly?
Seriously though EA is doing some pretty cool releases in every Canadian NHL market except Calgary & Ottawa.
Quote:
To celebrate the release of NHL 12 in stores, EA SPORTS will be hosting five midnight openings events across Canada – Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Montreal. See below for location details.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of NHL 12 as soon as the clock hits midnight, the night of September 12 and that’s not all. Each location will have a limited supply of customized NHL 12 covers (so get there early) featuring their city’s team available to be signed by an NHL player from that team from 9:30-11:00pm local time.
Here is the list of NHL players who will be participating at each location:
· Toronto – Phil Kessel
· Vancouver – Alex Burrows
· Edmonton – Jordan Eberle
· Winnipeg – Evander Kane
· Montreal – Josh Gorges

And that is why you pre order your games so you don't have to wait the night before.

Not Calgary but I kinda want to hit up a 24 hour walmart (they are all 24 hour here, USA!) but I'll be too tired to play and I wake up at 5:30AM.

Has anyone called any EB Games/Gamestop/Whatevers to see if they're actually doing a midnight release? It's such a high selling game I don't see why some stores in Calgary wouldn't.

Moving this to tech-talk since this is about the game itself, not a league or something along those lines.

Westbrook EB Games is a negative. Not enough pre-sales.

Waited in line for over an hour last year for NHL 11, some dummy brought a bunch of games to trade in. I'll never do that again, especially for this series.
For those who can't wait, good luck to you tonight.

Doesn't EA have some sort of Season Pass thing which allows you to play the game early or was that just for Madden?

EB has had midnight releases for NHL games in the past, I know I went to a couple, but looks like none this year.
Regardless, I'm going to get it tomorrow at Futureshop because you get a free Steelcase. I swear if they run out of the Steelcases I'm going to burn that muthaf***a down with pookie. I need me steel!
