I am very happy and excited for all of my CP family that can start golfing in Alberta soon!

The rules implemented in BC have been easy to follow and the fact that they haven’t been packing us in like sardines has made playing an absolute joy!

Have fun everyone!

"Kenney had said at the daily presser that courses could open this weekend. The government later clarified that they couldn’t open until Monday at the earliest. Hinshaw tweeted later in the evening that courses could open as soon as Saturday."

Some confusion here but still good news even if it is Monday, May 4.

They definitely haven't been. Most are now scrambling.

To show what a mess this announcement has been NAGA, the lobby group the golf industry hired to get the opening date, sent an e-mail last night announcing Monday May 4 being the opening date for golf. So even the industry group at the forefront of this is caught off-guard.

Courses open tomorrow, but the guidelines still haven't been released. Nobody needs to follow the old NAGA recommended list if they don't want to.

AHS said golf guidelines will be posted online this afternoon. I'm wondering that since restaurants could open at 50% capacity on May 14, does it mean golf course restaurants could open at 50% capacity on May 14 as well?

TPC Fox Hollow looks ready to go, and over the last week I could see ground crews doing all sorts of work at The Winston.

I haven't seen workers out at Country Hills but the greens covers were removed a while ago and the course, the parts that can be seen from Country Hills BLVD and Beddington Trail, look to be in really good shape.

Silver Springs is preparing to open but no word yet on when that will be. Course looks pretty much ready to go with some fairway and rough to clean up still. At this point I'd say they open next weekend. Just a guess though.

Anyone book anything? I called around and had no luck whatsoever. My home course opens Monday so I was looking for a Saturday AM time for a practise round...along with the rest of the city it seems.
