Do you think anyone was appalling that? Do you think my post was cheering what happened in your link? Balderdash

The rotten acts score is about 1 000 000 000 - 1 for China.

Examining context is hard, it's better to appeal to authority.

I have quite a number of friends in hong kong actually, from different generations.

Also, I know what kind of country China is, since you know, I'm not an idiot. Individual acts of violence on nothing compared to the industrialized persecution that happens in China.

Again, it's context. Try not to be myopic. Also stop adopting CCP talking points if you want to be taken as someone whose opinion should be respected.

As do I. I don’t care what you think - about anything. You are not an arbiter of anything.

Dear President Xi Jinping,

Today was a glorious day on the internet! The Canadian internet! The wide open and foolishly open one!

Despite your mass interment camps schools for the Muslims, forced abortions, sexual assaults and rape of Uighur Muslim women, murders of anyone who questions you, including government officials a protestor (who could've easily been a member of the PRC Army) did something bad as well.

The score is now even! Down with the protesters, who are fighting for their freedom!

Your loving Kowtower, Jeff

If it was up to people like you, no one would be able to "do you", they might end up in camps.

Options such as not hurling a brick at 70 year old cleaners who are cleaning up their mess? or not beating up locals who refuse to join your revolution?

There are always going to be bad people, in any group. You can applaud the protestors body of work and still find select acts unacceptable.

... not to mention the reported “HK police undercover as rioters”.

While the 70 year old who was killed with the brick this week and the man lit on fire are both awful, they are hardly representative of everyone involved in protesting.

I don't cheer for anyone to be injured or property damage to be done, but it's angering that the government has not done anything like what they could have to find a political resolution before it reached this point. The government has determined to go this route by not working on actual political solutions to political problems and instead leaving the police to stand off against the citizens. The police only have a limited set of tools to deal with conflict. It has been bound to go on a downward spiral since creating an ongoing standoff between police and citizens and failing to show political will to satisfy public demands. It has done irreparable damage to the city, the economy and the reputation of what was a very highly respected police force and system of rule of law. All of that is tragic for HK.

What are your "friends" in Hong Kong's opinion? I live in GZ so know quite a few people in HK and they are all sick of it. The violence has gone too far. The protestors have killed more people than the HK police. As of now I'm not aware of the HK police causing the death of anyone. I will post this video again because I feel none of you watched it.

Didn't someone in this thread post a video of HK police killing a protester in a train station?
