Problem with ferkland are twofold.
1. He is concussion prone so can’t play the way he did when he was at his absolute best
2. He disappears for months at a time in season. Great for 10 then invisible for 25
Doesn’t deserve Wilson money. Would be lucky to get 3 mil per

Thing is he is likely gonna get what he wants...that is the problem, won't be good value IMO

Wilson doesn't deserve Wilson money either, but here we are.

Yeah, he has been playing OK. Just really snake bitten. He needs to get his edge back.
I can see him thriving in the playoffs.

Wilson brings it every night. He’s everything Ferland should’ve become.
Guy definitely deserves his money

Honestly though, with Ferland's concussion history, I think he needs to somewhat reinvent his game a little. I don't think it's fair to keep expecting him to be crashing and taking punches to the head very much any more.

Man that was a wicked one timer winner in Ot from Panarin. I think he might be equal to aquisition cost and contract extension to Stone. But I think Columbus runs with him even if they lose him.

Who that would be I have no idea, but I wonder if it's worth a try this off-season if you have to try out some guy on the 4th line next year if the team goes top heavy and has to try out a cheap project.

Wonder no more, Patrick isn’t available for a B-grade prospect, he’s not available for even a late first.

What about Bennett + 1st for Patrick?

Everyone's dumping on Simmonds just like they did Kane, but I bet a western team picks him up to their benefit.
Others did well to beef up at the deadline last season. No shame in going for it with a good team, even if you fall a bit short.

I think Tre will be looking to upgrade the team without losing any roster players. Patrick will almost definitely be a better player than Bennett in the long run, but as it stands right now, Bennett brings a skill set that Patrick doesn't.
Not that I think Philly would even be looking to divest themselves of Patrick; most GMs have more patience with recent 2nd overall picks.

People dumped on Kane as a locker room issue. I think no one thinks that about Simmons, he's just long in the tooth especially for his style.

He's a shadow of the player he used to be. The game is too quick for him.

The game is really passing Simmonds by. He can barely keep up skating wise anymore and the rest of his skills are also deserting him.

Already talk of Carolina trading Hamilton and Ferland.
I thought that CAR won the trade in June but now I look at it and can't believe Carolina made that trade.

Yep. I don't necessarily like it, but Neal is a Flame. It's funny, I remember when he was acquired there was talk about his contract being fair and tradeable. Well at least he doesn't ave any NMCs...

You (we) could still bitch about Smith, but could about Neal and Simmonds too! Lots of options
