2020 NFL Offseason
I don't think there's much truth to this, but it would be such a hilariously Jerry Jones move.

The idea: The Cowboys could use the franchise tag on Prescott, trade him afterward and then sign Tom Brady.

IMO Brady would be best served finishing his career with the Patriots. I just don't see things working out great on another team having to learn a new offense with all new teammates and coaches. Seems like too much change for a soon to be 43 year old QB that's played largely in the same offense his entire career.

Yeah, I don't buy it for a second that Brady is actually going to another team, or that Brees is retiring for that matter. I mean I get how its a story, as its the off-season with nothing else to really talk about, and there's always that ''what if..'' factor, which is intriguing especially when considering someone like Brady. But I just don't see it at all. Come September, Brady will be throwing passes at Foxboro and Brees will be doing the same at the Superdome. I'd be stunned if that's not the case.

The tabloids at Safeway say Gisele is looking for a divorce lawyer, not new schools in Tennessee. Inquiring minds want to know.

It’s going to be a cat and mouse game between Brees and Brady over retirement as both want to retire with the Yds and TD record.

Anyone know the win % for the top two seeds that get a bye in the NFL?
This seems to punish good teams and make way for more upsets by 10-6 teams. Not a fan.

Will be interesting to see how they tweak the scheduling formula to determine the 17th game for teams.

157 pounds....
@AdamSchefer:
Browns’ OT Greg Robinson was alleged to have 157 pounds - 157 pounds! - of marijuana in “several large duffle bags in the rear cargo area” in El Paso, Texas today. https://t.co/O7UyfW7AqO

Crazy, reminds me of Sam Hurd from a few years ago.

I remember an anonymous player once saying that athletes financing drug deals is pretty common, especially when they get their rookie signing bonus. Some guys stop, some guys get in deeper.

Yeah I don't understand having an odd # of games at all.. like how do you determine who gets the extra home game and who gets stuck with an extra road game? Just rotate every year? Seems silly, and unnecessary.
Just keep it at 16, or jump to 18 and avoid the odd # of games headache.

Relative to his own weight (332) that’s not so bad.
Penalty is up to 20 years though.

Personally I would think the best way to go is to make the 17th game against a non-conference team based on previous season rankings. So for example the AFC West gets the NFC South next season so they would all play one game against one of the other three divisions so for example the NFC East.
The 17th game for the Chiefs would be the Eagles, Broncos face Cowboys, Raiders face Giants, Chargers face Redskins. As for home/away deficiency they would simply have to rotate annually. There would be complex formulas but it certainly seems doable.
