I don't think so, it looked like a typical pokecheck but Necas' skate collided with the stick and sent it spinning.

This is what I thought I saw. I don’t believe you need to hit the puck for a penalty shot to be called on throwing the stick.

Puck carrier vs puck is different, if I remember correctly.
