Wtf?

Only reasonable explanation is that Trippier is playing LB because his Atletico team mate Vrsaljko is playing RB. According to the beeb he's played 4 professional games in that position.

That's a real slap in the face to Shaw.

I woke up, googled the lineup, saw trippier and walker, said to myself oh so it's a back 3

Went to get a drink

Came back, saw lineker talking about trippier playing left back, considered going back to sleep

It's not like lb is a weakness, shaw should have started, but chilwell would have been ok too ffs

Sterling I expected because of his england form, but wow

Good luck gentlemen!

I have low expectations for this match which is allowing me to really enjoy it.

I foresee the new Croatia players playing jittery because of the legacy of the 2018 final. Wanting to prove themselves.

Most people understand that this team is nowhere near the 2018 team, meanwhile England has only gotten better.

Still hoping for some inspiration from our Little Magician

Modric and Perasic should still boss the midfield. That England lineup is a mess.

Maybe Southgate is a genius? England absolutely dominating so far.

This is just Southgate’s way of justifying why he took four right backs in the first place.

Trippier has been fine, Walker has not and should be swapped for Shaw and put Tripper on the right.

Walker has been absolutely terrible. Sterling as well, but not surprising. Kane dropping way too deep for my liking.

correct your effing mistakes at half-time. Shaw and Grealish for Walker and Sterling.

There are going to be so many sunburned English dudes, both on the pitch and in the crowd, by the time this match is over.

Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen was "gone" before he was resuscitated after suffering a cardiac arrest, the team's doctor, Morten Boesen, said in a news conference Sunday.

"He was gone, and we did cardiac resuscitation. It was a cardiac arrest," Boesen said. "How close were we [to losing Eriksen]? I don't know.

"We got him back after one defibrillator, so that's quite fast. I'm not a cardiologist, so the details I will leave to the experts at the hospital."

You don't use a defib for cardiac arrest.
