Rovers doing a pretty good job against Villa considering they're a Premier League Club, fairly even in terms of shots, saves and possession.

From what I've been reading on Twitter, supporters are somewhat relieved to be out of the Johnstone Paint Trophy, or whatever they call it. I tend to agree with them that this allows the squad to take their early season form and build upon that to try to secure automatic promotion.
Whether they can maintain that quality remains to be seen, they have a long way to go.

Is promotion realistic? I dont know. I do know that Jake Cassidy has been tearing it up, but hes on loan from Wolves.
A club with limited finances is best off limiting their number of competitions, that I agree with due to limited depth.
They gave it their all against Villa, but I think they phoned it in in the JPT.

Early days still but they are looking awesome
16 goals for and only 2 against in 7 matches.
Unbelievable stuff.
Over 400 minutes without conceding a goal in League 1 play too!!!! Incredible

I was looking up the next match i will be able to make to see Brentford play and I came accross this news item. I thought the normal subscribers to this thread might appreciate it.

THE BIG MATCH
Table-topping Tranmere Rovers will travel to West Sussex on Saturday to take on Crawley Town, hoping to maintain the good form that has seen them amass 17 points from the first seven games in npower League 1.
Ronnie Moore's men have already recorded wins against Leyton Orient, Carlisle United, Colchester United, Coventry City and, most recently, Bury, but they will be in for a tough match against a side that sit just four points behind them in fourth.
And 59-year-old Moore, who has overseen a complete change of fortunes since replacing Les Parry at Prenton Park in March, is aware of the task in hand, against an opposition manager he knows very well.
"It's a tough game but there are no easy games. It's our away form we need to improve on as a group and over the years it has always been that way at Tranmere," he told www.tranmererovers.co.uk.
"Richie Barker was a player of mine when I was at Rotherham [United] and he's doing a fantastic job there with Steve Coppell. It will be nice to see those two but hopefully we can do a job there.
"Let other teams worry about us. I know this side is competitive and on our day we'll be unbeatable. There will be days when everybody clicks and when they do there won't be a side at this level who will beat us.
"But it's when you get those indifferent days, like we've had in the last two games. Maybe we were a bit fortunate we were at home and if we'd been away it would have been different story."
Crawley are on the hunt for their third successive promotion having been promoted from npower League 2 last term, just a year after moving up from the non-league top flight.
Barker took over at the Broadfield Stadium in the summer and he has maintained the momentum that was installed by previous boss Steve Evans and former caretaker manager Craig Brewster, who was responsible for overseeing the Red Devils' final push into npower League 1 last term.
If they are to win this match, though, the Red Devils will need to be solid at the back and on form up front - Tranmere have scored the most goals in the division, with 16 to their name, and have conceded the least, with their defence being breached just twice in seven matches.

Brentford plays at Tranmere on the 29th. I think the next game I can make at Griffin Park will be on Oct 2. Looking forward to it.

Will do. And still waiting to get back to the Uk to post my AmsterdamARENA and Upton Park photos.
I am really looking forward to Griffin Park, apparently it is the only stadium in the UK that has a pub on all 4 corners of the pitch.
