No problem. Were you at the Vancouver show? It was pretty incredible.

I was there to see New Order, and was pleasantly surprised by how good PSB were. Oakenfold, predictably, was tremendous. The flight home was fun - stuffed full of chubby old people like me in tour T-shirts. Good times.

Hell's yeah. I had the high score for nearly a whole week on Street Fighter II. House of the Dead was a tad too scary for me, tho!

Joust? For some reason I recollect that one as like...riding a giant flying ostrich or something?

Didn’t they have 8 tokyo wars machines at one point? The word awesome doesn’t do that justice

Eau Claire arcade had this sit down racing game which had a curved wrap-around screen. I've never been able to figure out what game that was.

I spent much of my late teen/early twenties playing DDR and occasionally Initial D there. I miss that place so much.

We're already starting to see the age difference between posters and their experience with arcades. I was way too old to be caught dead playing Dance Dance Revolution in an arcade unless I had many beers in me.
I loved the TMNT and X-Men multiplayer games. Was a big fan of the Marvel Super Heroes fighter too. I was terrible at Street Fighter so I didn't waste my quarters on that.

I remember Street Fighter and Double Dragon always had a dozen kids around them waiting for their chance to play. Also the WWF SuperStars game was quite popular too in the late 80s.
Also in the late 80s and early 90s there was an arcade and pool hall close to a lot of the Jr. and Sr. High schools in Lethbridge. Always a super packed place at lunch. I remember Bubble Bobble being quite popular but it wasn't a game I ever really got.
Arcades were a fun place to go hang out. Sometimes frustrating because all the games were being played and you just didn't get a chance to play. Anyone remember putting their quarter up to reserve their chance to play? Surprisingly people were pretty honest with that process but a few kids would steal other kid's quarters or turns.

Late 90s / early 2000s was my arcade years and pretty well kept going to EC until they shut it down...
