So second year I've been watching F1, this year I've started to watch most of the practices and qualifying...sure hasn't helped me in this pool. I'm just horrible!
This year is shaping up to be fun/harder to predict because Hamilton-Bottas-Verstappen doesn't seem to be the safe choice to get the top 3 right in 60% of the races

One thing I've noticed about Mercedes is they are very good at dialing in an unruly car through the season. Now, RB has obviously taken a big step forward, so it will be a lot closer.
I like the Sprint Race idea, just dont like giving out points for the top 3. Points should only matter on Sundays. If they go this way, just have the F2 style setup and do a full sprint race on Sat. and full race length on Sunday.
I assume that the Friday qualifying session sets the order for the Sprint race??
Also, sounds like Monza + Silverstone are the 2 European races, not sure on the 3rd race.
And REMEMBER TO GET YOUR picks submitted this week!! For those that missed last week you'll be getting no picks if you forget.
Damnit. That sucks balls. I thought they could figure out a way to have F1 operate here. I'm guessing if there was a way to have a 2wk gap before Canada (swap Baku) it would have happened. At least they extended the contract 2 years.
CalPuck meetup in Montreal next in-person race...prize for the pool is your ticket??
Remember to get you picks in for Portugal this weekend!!!

Just wondering what data people like to look at for their predictions. I prefer to watch FP2 if I can, otherwise I'll just look at finishing order. So my picks don't come in until Friday ngiht some days. Sometimes I'll look back over the years to see if a driver is particularly good at a track. If I'm using my brain ,I'll also look at Sunday weather.
Not that any of this really helps, but I like to pretend my choices are somewhat backed by data. Then I let emotion take over and move Vettel down a few spots.

I usually take a peek at last couple years results at the track, weather, and who's got an improving car. May try and sneak in a look at FP1/2 if I can. Having said that it definitely didnt work for me last year.
