I will admit so far it hasn't really peaked my interest, but it's still Star Wars Canon material so I will watch the first episode then make my judgement. So far it's being called a lot more light hearted than what we've seen in Clone Wars or Rebels.

Venom review embargo has been lifted...and it is not positive. Lots of critics saying it is a mess.
You could tell it would be all over the place as soon as they made the decision to rework it into a pg13.
I was excited to see it after the first teasers. It looked like a character study. Then cgi bloated trailers started to come out, and you knew it would be mediocre at best.
I still have hope for this film. Critics trashed BvS and it was my favorite comic book movie since The Dark Knight Rises so I will probably still enjoy it.

Lol trust me your not the first nor the last person to tell me that. The Dark Knight Rises is one of the greatest superhero films of all time I dont understand the hate it gets.
This scene alone is better than 99% of superhero films today.
That phrasing makes it seem like The Dark Knight Rises is some dusty old gem you found in film school, not the third movie in a trilogy of tentpole summer blockbusters that only came out six years ago.

Ironically making fun of themselves works to a degree, but one thing I think we can all agree on is that DC Animation films largely hit it out of the park.
The Killing Joke was underwhelming but okay and we're just going to forget that Batman: Ninja was a thing that happened. It didnt and we shall never speak of it again.
