Yeah, but it’s not like Darryl came up in a cap environment or had any experience/history from which to draw.
You can hire someone to watch the cap, and you can learn to defer to scouts.

He had Iggy and Kipper and recognized it was more valuable to have NHL players with those guys instead of kids.
He may have chosen poorly who those players were, but he tried.
