Official UEFA European Championship EURO Cup 2020 that is happening in 2021 Thread
I figured we should consolidate all Euro talk into one thread.
Don't get me started on why its labeled 'Euro 2020' as opposed to Euro 2021, but thats what it says on UEFA's site.
To begin....do your brackets!
Group A:
- Italy
- Turkey
- Switzerland
- Wales
Group B:
- Belgium
- Russia
- Denmark
- Finland
Group C:
- Netherlands
- Austria
- North Macedonia
- Ukraine
Group D:
- England
- Croatia
- Scotland
- Czech Republic
Group E:
- Spain
- Poland
- Sweden
- Slovakia
Group F:
- Germany
- France
- Portugal
- Hungary
Thats just off the top of my head. I'm expecting this tournament to be similar to most sports leagues this year, which is to say, a complete crap-shoot.
Past history means virtually nothing, its all there for anyone to take.

Is anyone playing the official fantasy team game? Is there a CP group, perhaps?

Like I said, Sports this year have been entirely unpredictable, nothing will surprise me in this tournament.
I could see some serious upsets and Cinderella runs. Teams with high work ethic like Wales, Scotland, Denmark and Finland could make some noise.
Its a bad time for Iceland not to qualify.
I could definitely see some of the bigger teams like France, Spain, Italy, England and Germany falter because their top players have been going non-stop at 150% for the past 15-16 months despite a 3 month break.
Anything can happen.

Yeah, I initially had the thread title as 'Euro 2021' but UEFA's website indicates that they are sticking with 2020.
Maybe to just save money on making new logos? Who knows...
"We have these logos and we're damned well going to use them!!"

Meh I kinda get it. We are playing the 2020 European championships a year later because of Covid.
I kinda like that they left the name as-is.

It was more so the clunky wording Locke went for, like saying the 2021 Stanley Cup Hockey Championship Playoffs Thread. Nobody calls it the UEFA EURO Cup. "Euro 2020" is fine.

Locke, I don't know if this is for soccer or for football or for what, can you clarify that on the title?
