French Open is tradition, they've changed nothing.
Just speaking for myself, but I would have rather seen a Laver Cup in Boston last year rather than a hastily thrown together French Open that kiboshed the team competition. Also, if I'm a paying customer for a night session, I'm pretty peeved that I can't see the completion of a match that likely could have and should have been started a couple of hours earlier.

I think I have a better drop shot than Berretini, it's painful to watch.

He's not having a good time with it tonight, but I've seen him pull off some beauties in the past. I think you make a good point that he uses it too much however especially with the power he possesses.

Wimbledon does have the best marketing, but it's a terrible tournament that's not run well either. The lowest quality tennis and 2 weeks of rain and courts that look chewed up.

It's because of COVID. Nothing the organizers can do about because television insists on having a night match.

Wimbledon has a curfew because it's too noisy for the neighborhood! Not just no fans, play would have to stop.

It was you! You complained about Isner-Anderson
Isner-Anderson didn't start until 1pm. Stupid.
Then Nadal-Djokovic couldn't play past 11pm, More Stupid.

I would complain about Isner-Anderson if they were playing on a gold plated court and I got to keep the court and sell it for $20 million after lol. I agree the noise rule is stupid, especially with the roof now, but Wimbledon is a rich community and NIMBY always wins.

It was a 8 PM Paris start for this match, right? Are you telling me that if the French Open said we're going to start this match at 6 PM that television balks and says, "No, we need to start this match at 8PM".

At any rate, we have another Rafa - Djoker match to watch which is a very good thing.

not if it's anything like last year's FO final. it's late in Paris, but Djoker better be staying up and studying those analytics hard if he doesn't want to get embarassed again.

That was stupid. All week they had started the last match at 9pm and sold no tickets But tonight the curfew was extended from 9pm to 11pm, so they got greedy.

Edit: It's Amazon!

This will be the 58th meeting between the two, currently Novak leads 29-28. Hopefully Nadal can tie the H2H here, he's had success against Djokovic on clay recently. I expect this match to be closer than the finals last year.

Felix takes the opening set 6-3 over Lloyd Harris - Tennis on the green stuff, oh how I have missed thee.

I thought Pavlyuchenkova was going to blow that set. Serving for the set at 5-3. Then 5-5. Then 15-40 in the 11th game. But turned it around to win 7-5.

Nice hold by Felix saving four break points and is now one game away at 3-5 in set 2 (Harris about to serve).

Felix still has his demons trying to close out matches - 5-4 40-15 and plays four bad points to get broken.
