Hate to give up Marchessault as he's a good sim player but was getting tight to the cap. Thought we 1st + Raddysh was good value, Raddysh was an ahl all-star this year and hopefully can crack Tampas lineup next year as they'll need cheap players since they'll be tight to the cap.

Easy trade to make 3 PMs and it was done. Hate dipping into the '23 draft picks already but really like Marchessault and his ability to play all 3 forward positions.

We have acquired Yanni Gourde and Jack Drury from NYR in exchange for Damon Severson and Thimo Nickl.

To NYR
Jakub Voracek
Evgeny Svechnikov
Pick #126
To TBL
Carson Soucy
Linus Karlsson
3rd round pick (2023)
It was tough to move on from Voracek, but I do cement my top 4. Soucy is an RFA as well with a few years of control, so it helps with the cap too.
Svechnikov probably gets a good chance with the Red Wings next year, but I did have a glut of forwards. Happy to pick up Karlsson, who I think is a decent prospect.

Shane Ghostisbehere to Washington for pick 43.
High price but we are hoping he bounces back. Probably one of my dumbest moves to date.

I like Ghost a lot, but needed to shed salary and he was the obvious choice. Thanks BagoPucks for the deal!

Suter’s contract was definitely enticing. He did end up getting a decent re-rate after just a rookie season. There is a risk with him regressing or ending up not getting the same opportunity in the NHL, but I’m alright with that risk. He can step in to our top six at a pretty good price. Still wouldn’t mind picking up another top six though, though it becomes a smaller priority now.

Hart (84 OVR)
I don't know why I am subjecting myself to another year of following Hart's stats. This year was like watching a trainwreck every other night. He was dreadful.
The only positive is that in April he posted a 910 SV%...so maybe without COVID, he will rebound.
I think he can...but then again, I hate goalies.
Overall, this deal is P. Suter + 62 --> Hart. Suter had a great rookie season and is on a solid contract. But I needed another goalie and have a decent amount of 3rd and 4th line depth.
Thanks both to agulati and Jiri for the deals.

I still believe in Hart. But I've got a glut of goalie prospects coming in the pipeline and something had to go. #22 is in the range where I've got some guys I like.

Donato had barely unpacked from his flight from LA when he got the news he was going back to the airport. Just didnt like the way the team looked with him. Was kind of the fence when I got him. Glad he is gone now

Donato will now be a magical sim god for Nashville, with multiple hat-tricks against archrival Washington. Flippin' a Donato just gets him flippin' mad.
