Tough news for Thiem today, he has to pull out of Wimbledon and also his US Open is in jeopardy. Hopefully this is a one time thing and not something that lingers. This is a guy who is a career 16-18 against the big 3 which is pretty great all things considered.

That's a really tough break (no pun intended) for Thiem.

Alex de Minaur eliminates Vasek 6-4 6-4 at the Eastbourne tourney. Vasek played okay, but de Minaur was full value for the win today.

‘detachment of the posterior sheath of the ulnar side of the right wrist’...that sounds so much grosser than just broken or sprained wrist. hoping it doesn't end up going the Delpo perpetual rehab route, especially since he'll always be putting so much strain on it.

Ya it seems like after his US Open title it's been all downhill, which sucks because he's probably my 2nd favorite player to watch. This may just be sour grapes on my part but I feel like if Thiem was at his 2018/2019 level he would have won the French Open this year.

Does anyone know if there are any grass courts in Calgary, I always wanted to play on one.

Tough draw for Felix.
If you're looking for a first round upset with good value I think Tiafoe over Tsitsipas. Tiafoe has played well on grass this year while Tsitsipas hasn't played since his French Open collapse.

Bianca vs Alize Cornet (who she just lost to in Berlin on the grass)
Leylah vs. Jelena Ostapenko (who is in pretty good form and currently playing in the semi-finals in Eastbourne).

If it was 2 out of 3 sets, I might put some money on Struff pulling off an upset over Medvedev. The German has a big serve and will cause the Russian plenty of trouble.

Not in 5 sets I don't think. Tiafoe's forehand is ####.

I saw a mention of an Interview Serena did today that she seemed “off”. Did anyone see?

I saw Serena say she's not going to the Olympics so I'm sure she's not 100% but this is her best chance of getting to 24.
Who makes it further Serena or Federer? Who will be the last Canadian standing?
