Got prime again for Invincible, 2 episodes in and it's my favourite new show since The Boys, not because it reminds me of The Boys, it reminds my of The Venture Bros. Invincible is exactly what I'd imagine the top tier heroes would be up to in The Venture Bros universe, Doc could pop in the background at any point, say "this is stupid, I'm going home" and it would fit right in.
Zombieland 2 is an abomination and I wish I could scour it from my mind so I couldn't associate it with the first movie.
Palm Springs was surprisingly good, I enjoyed it more the longer it went on. I wouldn't mind Groundhogs Day becoming it's own genre, it's a great premise that you can do a lot with.

There is supposed to be a new season! I love that show!
"Does it say 'loss of life' on that list?"
- "Just a side-effect...."

Amazon is acquiring storied Hollywood studio MGM in a deal worth $8.45 billion in a bid to bolster its streaming catalog. The takeover hands it the rights to an eye-watering pool of crowdpleasers including James Bond, Rocky and Robocop. MGM also owns The Hobbit franchise, which should sit nicely alongside Amazon's upcoming Lord of the Rings series for Prime Video. On the TV side, the studio's output includes recent hits such as The Handmaid's Tale and Fargo, along with all things under its Epix TV network.
Colbert was speculating last night that Bezos bought it because they own the Apprentice footage and out takes, where Trump is recorded being racist, and generally a horrible human being. Bezos despises Trump.

No, this is a new book that came out only a few years ago. The book you are likely thinking of is Underground to Canada, which was pretty popular in schools across Canada back in the day, but not so much anymore.

I don't dislike Bosch but hit a wall midway into season 2 where it just didn't feel compelling enough to go deeper into the series. I like the Harry Bosch character and the LA setting but the pacing is so slow and the straight as an arrow approach doesn't provide many wow moments. Maybe I will try to get back into it this summer.
Clarkson's Farm is great. He bumbles and cheats his way through starting a farm, with the expected results.
I've only watched episode 1, but its typically entertaining Clarkson.
I like that they get into the finances involved in Farming, but its hard to take seriously when you know that Clarkson is not only independently wealthy, but also producing a show for one of the richest Corporations on the face of the Earth.
"Its going to cost how much? Hold on...let me call Jeff..."
- "Hey Jeremy, a Quarter Million Pounds? I think I have that in my couch cushions here somewhere, hold on, let me check..."

Right, and of course before he does anything he buys a Lamborghini tractor that’s too big to do anything practical and ends up using the old, cheap Massey anyway. Adding the business elements just provide more things for him to comically screw up.
Strangely - I actually really enjoyed Clarkson's Farm as it was something different from his usual GT schtick - which has especially gotten tiresome under the 'all specials, all the time' format.
Might have been derivative of the old TG schtick I guess, but watching him go through the initial days of COVID was interesting. That and learning about the challenges of farming in better detail.
Still, I can't help believe that similiar to GT / TG - that there's a small army of staffers that actually "do" 90% of the farming work and that they play it up so that it looks like Jeremy and Caleb did all the work. Like how the wilding pond magically completed itself so well.
