This game between Florida and Tampa has been really good. Hoffman with the hattrick so far, but the Lightning pulled within 2 with 10 minutes left in the 3rd.

I am watching this Colorado game on Altitude Networj. My god, this broadcast makes me hate the Avalanche even more than I did on Thursday.

Seriously. Tampa Bay is going to stomp the entire league again this year. They just have so much talent it's almost like an all-star team. Even their depth guys are high skill and high speed. It's just not fair.
All that being said, Panthers held their own against them and found a way to win their home opener 4-3 with icing after icing in the last minute and an absolute pile up in the crease with a couple seconds left. Bobrovsky was a big reason they held the lead in the 3rd as the Lightning were all over them for the last 15 minutes or so. If that was last year with Reimer they would have lost 6-4.
Also, the team is much, much better defensively under Quenneville. Early returns on this team look good. They seem like a playoff team already.
