His actions afterwards bother me the most. Like own it, and apologize. Don’t be an entitled little kid running away from issues you created on your own volition. He lied about it like a scared child, had his father lie, and still didn’t acknowledge it when faced with evidence. He then hid it from his team, when they would have been forgiving with some honesty. It also seems like the building has had issues with him before. Likely this is one incident in a predictable pattern of entitled bro behaviour.

I saw his interview and it looked like a guy that doesn’t get it, and not attempting to learn from it and have real empathy for the victim here. You made a mistake. Own it, and the world will move on... everyone gets his intent wasn’t awful... that sets the stage for forgiveness when you acknowledge it from the others perspective.

Btw, that Moneyhands guy is just as clueless. Really embarrassing posts in this thread.

My thoughts exactly. The incident itself is fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. Not to downplay it, I agree with him getting charged, but nobody got hurt.

But to hide from it, ignore it, and continue to evade it when it's brought up? What a punk

A disorderly conduct charge against Toronto Maple Leafs centre has been dismissed, as first reported by the Toronto Star.

Matthews settled his misdemeanour offence with a female security guard who filed the claim against him after an incident in Scottsdale, Ariz., in May.

A spokesperson from the City of Scottsdale's communications department told The Star that the matter was settled on Nov. 13.

Or how about several thousand middle class people. Settle for $10 each.

Pretty funny reading some of the outrage earlier in this thread when realistically everyone knew where it was going. Hopefully he learns from this and sticks to mooning his bros on the golf course.

Why not?

Just curious about the market value for shutting up depending on the situation in the US

Sex with porn stars and playmates is reportedly in the 130-150 K range.

I think the estimate of $ 50-100 K is high

You didn’t like it when I expressed skepticism and noted the US was a litigious society. Well, money made a situation go away. Somebody once said “Everybody’s got a price”

I don’t mind it. Victim gets compensation, guy avoids a charge for a minor incident. I’d take the under on $50K.

So sad that an innocent victim got a little win at the expense of a rich A-hole. I for one, do not want to live in a world where the crippled Irishman might be able to get a few bucks from Mr. Burns.
