Default Pillow talk

Ok, maybe not what some of you are thinking...I need a new pillow and it's extremely difficult to pick the right one. I wake up with a sore neck and headaches a lot. I'm a "combination sleeper" which means I move around a lot in my sleep. We just got a new mattress a couple months ago and I love it, so it's not that. I do sleep a lot on my stomach a lot but one source says that I only move around so much because I don't have a good pillow and when I get one, I won't move around so much when I get the right pillow.

What are your suggestions? What do you use or have you heard is a good suggestions for me? After the research I've done the Snuggle-Pedic Ultra-Luxury Bamboo Shredded Memory Foam Pillow is the one I'm leaning to but its made in the States and I haven't found anywhere that sells it in Canada.

Help me out CP. Please.

Good morning. I’m just on my way to work waiting for coffee so this will be a bit shorter than I’d like...

That link, I purchased that pillow (in King Size) a few months ago after trying a standard (not shredded) memory foam pillow as well as various other regular styles and thicknesses from Sears or the Bay or whatever.

I decided on the one above as there are higher ranked brands (eg the THE COOP version) but are costlier. It’s not that I mind paying for a good pillow, it’s that I grew tired of paying for many and waking up sore or uncomfortable. So I elected on that one above as it was the similar idea but at a better price.

It’s the best pillow I’ve purchased as someone with a titanium reconstructed spine who sleeps on their side, stomach and back all at various points at night.

There’s so many Options out there you’ll never get a unified response, but the shredded and adjustable foam was incredible for me. It’s cost effective so even if you opt for an alt option, consider one of these as well when ordering online just to compare and have a secondary option - which could easily become your primary.

Best of luck my friend.

I bought a memory foam pillow and hated it. Took the electric carving knife to it and cut it up into small cubes. Been using it for like 5 years now. I’m a guy who likes to sometimes have a flat pillow, then maybe fluff it up a little higher. I sleep a lot like you. Stomach, sides, move around a lot. Go buy a cheap memory foam pillow and try it. Only out like $30. I swear by it.

Regular pillow for me with a rolled up towel in the case to support my neck.

(I thought this thread would be going in a different direction.)

I've tried them all and find that I get tired of one, switch to the next, then get tired of that one. Then I switch back to the first one and it's good again. Honestly it seems like switching regularly is the way to go.

Any pillows come with air conditioning? The constant pillow flipping at night keeps me awake.

I find every once in a while I like a smaller pillow filled with something like wheat or barley. Something like those magic bag microwavable bean bags I on occasion use when my neck gets stiff with other pillows.

Bonus is that I can warm it up and fall asleep to a warm "pillow" every once in a while.
