Feel like I'm selling high a bit on Palat but it still does suck to lose that great contract. I like Kane quite a bit more. He finishes my top line with Parise and Hayes quite nicely.

Nice little cap move for the Flames.

Get Kane ($6.5M x 3) and $2.8M cheese

Flip him for Palat ($2M x 2 years, Archibald (1x $0.75), and Pysyk (1 x $2.75) and don't send any cap with Kane. Add those three guys and only take on $2.5M in cap hit.

NYI get the better player right now but dig a little deeper in to their cap issues by moving one of their better value players in Palat.

^ That said Kane is easily moveable if need be and Pysyk's deal was proving a bit problematic.
