If not for Modano playing for the Wings himself, then for the fact that the most petty, biggest dick move in NHL history was Babcock scratching him out of his 1,500th career game to make him retire at 1,499.
Did anyone mention Jeff friesen or tony amonte as a flame
I was so excited when we signed Amonte. I was surprised to see that he was there two seasons though without terrible stats. I would have surely said he was only there for a single season.
Does anyone remember his goal in the All-Star game when he crossed the blueline, pointed at the net, then rifled it past the goalie? It was long before he was a Flame. Tried searching it when I heard his name but couldn't find it.

I think you're thinking about Owen Nolan

That was Owen Nolan. At the ASG in San Jose when he was with the Sharks. Completed the hat trick too.

Not only that, but against Hasek.
(I presume Hasek would not have been terribly pleased. Probably smart enough not to be mad as the unpressured shooter in an all star game has an advantage not afforded to shooters in time sensitive real competition. It was flashy and looked awesome from one view, but can also arguably be viewed as a dick move by Nolan.
Obviously Nolan doesn’t call a goal in a real game)
Plus I think Nolan may have pointed up and shot down

I recall him saying at the time he didn’t noticed. He watches the puck.
Nah he roofed that, love the sound. This clip is better as it shows it happening live with the sound, doesn’t skip to slow mo.
