I sure am liking the play of Matthew Phillips!
I guess he's everybody's dark horse, #10 on the CP Prospect Poll.

Also leaves the Heat with only one right shot defenceman, Michaell Palliotta.

Josh Healey LD *
Kylington LD *
Hogstrom LD *
Taormina LD *
Austin LD PTO
O'Brien LD
Ollas Mattsson LD
Valiev LD *

Heat collapse in the 3rd. Lose 5-2 to San Jose
2nd goal Gawdin from Pollock and Kylington
Gillies made 34 saves on 38 shots.
Looks like the Heat are going to have a rough year unless they get their defence and goaltending figured out.

The goaltending is not to blame at all, Hasek in his prime would get lit up the way this team plays defence.

Yes that is right Heat have no right shots in their defence.
That’s an all around terrible lineup. The Heat have little depth

Ya, before training camp most had at least Valimaki, but also maybe Anderson on the Heat D core to start the season. Looks completely different without those two.

So is this good for the goalies development to play behind a team like this? A little grim in Stockton right now, as there might not be a future NHLer on the team. A few have a shot (goalies, Kylington, Mangiapane) but that’s not many.

Graovac seems to be working out well for the Heat so far. That OT goal a few games back was insane.

Yes he was injured last week IIRC.
Spencer Foo from Graovac on a 5 on 3 PP made it 3-0, but SJ managed to score 2 goals before the end of the 2nd period.
3-2 Heat.

I finally found out who this guy sounds like
Ants in my eyes Johnson (or really any Justin Roiland Rick & Morty character)
He even says stuff you’d hear in an intergalactic television show
‘Whaattt aaa... saweeet... twwiiisted wristerrrrr...’

Yet another sweet goal from Foo.
What an empty arena though.
