he's 24. He's as old as Herbert, Hurts and Tua.

That game killed my chance of winning semis due to Carr being such ass that Adams did nothing, and Jacobs faltered also.
My only hope is Mike Williams getting 50 points for me on Monday night.

Which is still quite young.
Rodgers was 25 when he became the starter and struggled at times with his reads.

Rodgers was also a great college QB who went head-to-head with Alex Smith in his draft year for 1st overall. Pickett had one great year at college, which was the extra year he only got because of Covid. I fully admit I hated the pick from day one, so I'm probably extra hard on Pickett. But he's not a raw 21 year old who needs development, he's at an age where other QBs already prepare for negotiating their second contract. I'd at the very least love to see something that makes me believe he could become good in a couple of years, but I just see bang average. I'll happily eat my crow if he proves me wrong though.

Still early for Pickett, but nothing so far suggests his ceiling is any higher than the Cousins tier, so it is understandable why it's tough for fans to get excited about that. Especially a fan base who just had a HOF QB, and with the AFC so loaded at QB.

Young QBs who excel at the game are an exception to the norm and not something that should be expected to happen. Look at the first round QBs for the last five years, excluding 2022, there are 5 or 6 who have proven to be top tier, another 4 or 5 who are mid-pack and the rest (8 or so) are busts. I'll be satisfied with a mid-pack Pickett because the results could be much worse over the next couple drafts.

If you're desperate enough to fake inside your own 20, you might as well just go for it straight up.

The Dolphins are so hot and cold. Sometimes they look like world beaters and other times they look like ass.

It would appear Tua's Linsanity run is over.

LaFleur should be very grateful too, had an awful run at the end, accepting the penalty when the Dolphins were clearly intentionally going offside, and then playing for the 6 point lead.

Yeah i don't get kicking to lead by 6 when a first down kills the game. If it were 4th and 10 sure but both Dallas and Green Bay were 4th and short. If you go for it and miss, you're still up 3 with the other team pinned inside their 10 with no timeouts. Worse case, they can go 60 yards, make a FG and you go to OT. Leading by 6, you can lose!

He was definitely bad in the second half especially on those last three possessions. Pretty atypical of him though especially this season which has been pretty solid

Not just that, but a 6 point lead incentivizes aggressiveness. A 3 point lead means they try a 60 yard FG on 4th and 4 instead of going for it, with a 6 point lead they go for it. They get to use all four downs the length of the field, and they are now fully focused on playing to win instead of considering a tie.
