Six shut outs will do that, considering just 2 of those shut outs combined to -11 differential. On the other hand, Flames have one of the highest winning % in one goal games. I haven't checked, but I would imagine the flames empty net goals are down a bunch this year.

I don't like statements like this. If Calgary was in the East they wouldn't have the same schedule, have played the same teams or traveled an ungodly amount of miles for games.

If they were in the East they could be leading a division with 70 points for all we know

The Flames have scored three ENGs. Vegas is League-worst with only two.

Man that frustrated me. The exact type of play I think the league needs more of, and it is wrongly punished.
What a way to wreck things.

Literally a perfect hit by Bennett.

No charge, no upward motions. Clean contact to the mid-section of the attacker and separated man from puck. It wasn't blindside, nor was it overly aggressive where sometimes a player really tries to lay a guy out and puts himself out of position.

Who's mediocre, The Flames or the whole Pacific Division?

It's a competitive league, no doubt.

Would be interesting to know which ref called it: Joannette (1343 games #25) or the baby ref Markovic (10 games #47). The latter just happens to be from Toronto.

Good hit, not a trip. Even the TO GT fans seemed to get it.

No wonder the team isn’t scoring

Goalies are excellent. Team O is abysmal
I hear ya. They seem to struggle to score at times, which is why we need to target help in the top 6.

Is it an issue that stems from coaching? I don’t know, maybe. Could be personnel, could be adjustments teams are making to play them. I do know that the record under Ward has been impressive and I’m not going to sit here and say it’s solely due to the goaltending

Ya, no. That would be utterly disgusting. Where would someone even get an idea that that is even remotly appropriate to share? Gross dude. No one wants to see that.

Ya, just imagine how frustrating that is for Bennett? Makes a great play that should be a highlight reel hit and instead it puts his team down in a tight game. What a bunch of crap. That ref should be suspended without pay for a couple of games, that is a terrible mistake.

Don't get discouraged Benny, keep doing that!

Nice. You should start the tradition of your cat watching the games and see what the record ends up being when it watches and when it doesn't watch.

I almost accept the call on the Bennett hit because I suppose from an angle you might think he stuck a leg out. So just a mistake in what the ref thought he saw, which happens. I kind of resent more the situations where the ref clearly sees what happens and doesn't make a call.

To be clear, it was a terrible call. This is why an eye in the sky would be better than coaches challenge. Ref in the press box looks quickly and says "you made a mistake" and they wave off the call, and move on.
