To me, the Canucks are a perhaps a bottom 5 team, with a Top 3 (or better) goalie. It just might get them into the playoffs. If so, Markstrom should get solid consideration for the Hart, though I don’t think he will.

bottom 5 team?
they are 8th in GF, 12th in GA
have 12 players with double digit points, three 40 point players (soon to be 4 Horvat 35 points)
Tkachuk has 36 points flames leading scorer.
are they perfect defensively? no, but to say they are a bottom 5 team is a stretch.

After Hours was excellent. Man do I ever miss JD as a broadcaster. He was one of the best colour guys/analysts ever.

Maybe... they’re not good, though. They get dominated on the cycle every night, it’s crazy... and they usually get outshot and out chanced by a wide margin... especially in recent games.

A great goalie and a great power play are a great way to make the play-offs though.

Did the Canucks actually wear their retros tonight to commemorate losing the Cup to the Rangers?
That's almost as embarrassing as putting up a statue of Roger Neilson surrendering.

People said the same thing back in November. The thing is the Canucks are making hay when they can, so they can ride out a rough patch, still be close and get on another run.

A great way to get through the playoffs too, if you find a way to get free PPs. Canucks need only look at there own history for that. But I'll admit, this version of the Canucks is much more honorable than THAT team. That seems to be more the Oilers method of success this year. I mean... do they really have a choice? They're a beer league team 5 on 5.
Also, holy hell, I didn't realize how misleading Boston's record is. How the hell do you suck that bad in OT/SO. They're barely over .500.

If we win a round this season I will be the happiest man in the world, but I don't see it. The young guys need another year and our D needs a bit more consistency.

Sucks for sure but sometimes those nights happen.

Yep, that's for sure. The afternoon was ruined with the Oilers winning along with the Wild and Knights winning in OT which means the losing teams got a point. Then the early evening was wrecked when the Leafs won. To complete the nasty hat trick, the friggin Canucks won.
