Also price at number 2 when he is fully rested? I don’t see him getting 2 months off between regular season and playoffs going forward. Would still have him around the #5 spot though .

I'm actually shocked this list came from THN as it's pretty suspect. Bishop and Gibson in the top 5? It's like they didn't see some of these goaltenders play in the abbreviated 2019-20 season.

ricardo wouldn't have posted the list if Markstrom was in the top 10.

I can understand them being cautious with any goalie on a new team. Sometimes they don't do as well as expected.
They did refer to Calgary as a cup contender which is nice.

I haven't read the article, but based on the comments here it seems like Sam Mccaig didn't even so much as glance at the advanced statistics available.

Yeah, after listening to goalie advanced stat guy when FA started, I am really excited to see Markstrom in net. The chances that the Flames tend to give up are the things Markstrom is really good at. Just seems like the perfect fit.

How can anybody not be a fan of that signing? Did he think Hart or Vasevlskey was available?

I am an old school Flyers fan first and Flames fan second.
I really like what Carter Hart can become but to right now to rank him ahead of Markstrom is a little premature to me, we have all seen young goalies come in hot and then fade. Hopefully it doesn't happen to Hart but right now he should be further down the list.
Binnington is vastly overrated. He had a hot year then started to revert back to normal. People seem to be forgetting that he was rambling around the minor leagues and was called up as a last minute aid for St. Louis. I think the Blues are going to regret moving Allen and keeping Binnington, but that is just my opinion.

It looks like a pretty small plane (single aisle only 2 seats per side), so they probably didn't have much choice. I'd guess this is just the plane to get them from Stockholm to Amsterdam (or wherever they're flying to North America from) and they'll have nicer seats for the flight across the Atlantic.

Any list like that is going to have some horrible takes, but I think what does come through is the general grouping of goalies.
There is a clear top 10 or so. I would remove Binnington, and I am 50/50 on whether I would include Bishop, but the other 9 or 10 guys, down to Markstrom or maybe Varlamov, are the guys I would call top goalies - guys that make their team better.
Then you have a whole bunch of other guys, who do not.

NHL GMs thought Markstrom was #4 last season...I thought he was #1 (long before any talk of him coming to Calgary)
We will see how he does with a better defensive team in from of him

They're in business class on an A320 or 737. I'm not sure number of seats per side is an accepted metric for plane measurement. lol
