So I have Rogers Ignite, I will be buying Centre Ice. I also have the Rogers Ignite app on my phone, wouldn't I be able to access the channels aka the games via my Rogers Ignite app?

I don't believe Rogers makes those channels available much like Shaw won't let you watch Centre Ice using Shaw Free Range.

Well ####, that sales guy sucked. They didn't before when I had Telus a couple of years ago. Good to know as I may just switch.

I guess the next question is are those channels available on mobile. Shaw doesn't allow them on their Go app.

I live in Victoria and used GameCentre a couple seasons ago. A caveat with GameCentre is that it has a reverse regional blackout effect. For example if the Canucks were playing the Flames, it would recognize that I was in that region (canucks) and wouldn’t be able to watch the game. This was during a period of time where i decided to cut the cord and just use streaming services.

About halfway through the season something erred and all of a sudden my pc and ps4 app determined that I wasn’t in the BC region anymore, I was in the Alberta region. As a result I couldn’t watch any Flames game whatsoever since it was “blacked” out. Rogers stated that it was a Telus issue (my internet provider at the time), Telus claimed it was a rogers issue. Then rogers claimed it was an nhl.com issue, and didn’t solve the problem.

No refund offered, no compensation offered for missing half the season.

The whole debacle made me get cable again, leading to a centre ice subscription. I’ll never get GameCentre again

I guess that’s why you’re bc-chris rather than IntrepidWorldTraveller-chris.

chatted with NHL today, from Rogers I guess in TO, they claim.

So I guess this thing is called NHL Live now, and, there's a 5 day refund window, no trial. They said there's no app for Vizio TV's. So... that's a huge down for me unless I can cast. Really disappointing.

So if I live in Calgary and am cancelling cable TV, which is the best package?

Just got the renewal email from the NHL. More than a bit disappointed to see the price for a 56 game season... $160? Wasn't 82 games last year $180?

Not much other revenue. To be expected I think.

Is there any other subscription services for the NHL where you can watch games later if you miss them live?

I cancelled my NHL.TV for this year, couldn't justify the cost for the shortened season and reduced pay due to covid.
Will be looking for alternative ways to watch unfortunately.

Same here I have no clue what to do. Centre Ice or nhl.tv? What’s the best way to watch the Flames? Last year I was streaming but I’d be willing to pay for a subscription service if necessary.

Merry Christmas! If you live in Calgary or the Flames viewing region (and want to cut cable but watch the team) you will need to subscribe to Sportsnet Now. If you don't live in the Flames region, NHL Live is for you.

NHL Live subscriber here.
I like the flexibility of the platform (as others have said, great for when traveling) but given I'm not going anywhere in the foreseeable future, and the measly $20 discount for the shortened season, I'm probably going to pause my subscription, take my chances and hope for a lot of Flames games available in B.C. via good old TV.
No TV schedule out yet afaik.

I’m in Toronto. I’m guessing the 9 games against the Leafs are going to blacked out in NHL Live, yes?

Anyone know if Sportsnet Now + would include all games?

3 devices per subscription people... I don’t know why more people don’t share this stuff. I’m paying 1/3rd.

Does that mean Flames games on NHL live or Centre Ice are blacked out if you live in Calgary?
