Centre Ice vs NHL Live
I can't seem to decide which to get. I really hate Rogers, but I feel like if I buy Centre Ice thru my tv provider they get a chunk of the money anyways.
I also think 4k would be a deciding factor.. but it appears neither service is offering 4k which is truly frustrating. Not that it matters for the Flames fans, but, to give an example, the TSN Jets games are routinely in 4k.
So what are peoples thoughts on these options in 2019?

Internet in Flin Flon is poor so it’s always been Centre Ice for me. The perk with GameCentre is access when travelling or away from home.

Centre Ice seriously doesn't give access from any device yet? That's insane in 2019.

As someone who travels a lot for work, gamecenter is a no brainer.

Game centre.
Travel, shortened games, highlight packs, vintage games. No contest.

They are different products in my mind. Centre Ice was always just for TV, Gamecentre or NHL.TV is internet devices.
As for quality, anecdotal, but I watched the nhl.tv COL DAL feed a couple days ago on my QHD monitor and if it wasn’t 4K, it was ultra sharp HD. Also Calgaryboy, who watches every game from Czech on nhl.tv swears by it and raves about the quality. Also this year nhl.tv isn’t branded Rogers Gamecentre for some reason. Not sure if that makes a difference to anyone or not. For flexibility I’d pick nhl.tv.

I prefer Game Center for a few reasons, especially being able to pick between Sportsnet and some of the much better looking feeds from US broadcasts.
This for me as well and the best part is you can stream it on multiple devices at once. It costs me $50 a season as four of us split the cost, that is maybe the best bonus.

It's also nice having an actual post game show - even if it is from the oppositions broadcast crew.

Curious if there's a game centre app for the amazon stick?
I for one will never get centre ice again until you can take it with you. Way to restricting for my lifestyle

I'm sure there probably is?
Chromecast with the NHL app on my phone works flawlessly for me

Does Game Centre have a free trial? If I can stream with my Vizio tv that'd make it ideal for me.
Although TELUS lets you watch optik on the go inside Canada if u travel. So... there's that.

I gave NHL Live some serious thought this year, but with the inconsistent frame rates, buffering and games being even seconds behind their cable/satellite counterparts I just couldn't do it. Not yet. Centre Ice for me. Plus I don't travel much anymore.
Reliability is king. For now.

it's center ice for me.... but i don't travel... ever! ha!
if i'm not home to catch the game it means i'm busy, so having the game on a device isn't much help to me.

Centre Ice is not available through Telus only Shaw I believe. Chatting with Telus yesterday about it and said they would have to sweeten the deal for me to switch over from Shaw just because of this.

I watch GameCenter on a 65" screen at home ... via Apple TV and home Wifi.
I haven't had a buffering / reliability issue in years.
As long as you've got decent home internet, it's a non-issue, imo.

This is how I do it but my TV (and hence, my donger) is bigger.
Although, I've been having an issue this year masking my DNS on the apple tv for the blackout games, so for those games I just use the illegal streams which is at or near the same quality and is faster and easier to get the game going (3 clicks and i'm in!)
