Well, not a terrible game, in my opinion. The effort was there for the most part, but the Flames just are not sharp in their execution right now. A few chances flubbed that might've changed the game. I imagine it will turn around soon enough. Every October, the Flames are pretty mediocre, so I guess we shouldn't be too surprised at this start.

Still plenty early in the season but there is a pattern of this team following up a playoff season to tune out the coaching staff the next season. There is no confidence of belief in this team right now.

I'm starting to think that you can make Alan Quine the second line centre, and everything will feel the same except the Flames will finally have their elite third line centre.

Ugh, super frustrating game but still some positives. No bad penalties, execution was way better, winning races and puck battles and I don’t feel like any line was particularly that bad. Top line was good, creating chances, missed a couple grade A ones. 3M was good. Frolik actually had some drive, Backlund was snake bitten. Tkachuk was actually the weak link out there tonight. 3rd line had some sustained pressure, 4th line was good as well particularly Czarnik. It’ll be criminal if he’s taken out of the lineup next game. Derek Ryan was not good and Bennett was his usual turnover machine. Best game Brodie has had in awhile, Andersson was solid, Kylington had some struggles but I’d still rather see him learn from mistakes than watch Stone make the same mistakes. Talbot was okay. One unlucky deflection, one perfect shot and one where he was a little out of position but still hard to fault him on a 2 on 1. It’s still early so no need to panic yet but a nice little winning streak would sure help to quell the masses.

I don't really care which one of them it is, but the first line should be broken up, so that the opposition can't just shut down the one line and by extension the whole team.

Team is playing like #### and haven't changed at all from the Colorado series still. What plagued them then and the late part of the season, is holding them back still.
Gotta figure out a way to get the offense going involving more than just the top line.
