Calgary has played road games in
Colorado, Dallas, Vegas, and now SJ tonight...in the first 6 games of the season.
Win tonight would be huge, over .500 record with that schedule is solid IMO

I brought up in another thread the Oilers stink maybe being a bit of a negative for this team. Talbot could go a long way to debunking that with a good effort tonight. A stinker however would just add to the dark cloud over the team.

The nature of our exit against Colorado was damaging, the defeat was almost as comprehensive as it could be.
I think that is what has us on edge. That and the James Neal situation.
My main memory of the Colorado series (other than being lucky enough to be in the dome for game 1) was of Neal coasting through our zone without a care in the world as Rantanen buried the winner in game 4.
That tells me more about Neal than anything he has done so far this season. It is a lot easier to perform when things are going well. But when there is adversity, and there will be, there is no way in hell you want to rely on someone like Neal.
As for tonight, we may not get the win, but there is plenty of time to get things right. I’m not saying I’m happy with things so far, but I’d rather, and hope, that we finish this season strong by identifying and sorting what isn’t working now.

Geeoff's post was the sarcastic one.
Seems we need to go back to using green text.

No it isn’t. There is no info about time channel etc. Weak effort.

Sub par effort by the Flames leads to sub par effort in the next game's GDT. That's just science.

Some of you guys need to take a break from watching hockey. If you can’t handle losing three hockey games you need to just step away and do some self-reflection. This place is over the top ridiculous right now.
Looking forward to the game. Go Flames!

As much as people are focused on the playoffs, our season last year derailed at the all-star break. Sadly it seems that we have the post-ASG Flames not the dominant pre-ASG version.

I'm still feeling bitter with the way we were bounced by Colorado in last season's playoffs and was hoping this new season would resolve that feeling.
Honestly the way we've been playing to start this season hasn't helped and guessing I'm not alone on this.
With that being said, not only do I hope we win tonight, but start winning like a contending team instead of just a playoff hopeful.

I’d almost prefer it if it was a talent thing. Hard to see the team get worked over knowing there is a lack of effort.
Turn it on, and get to work. GFG.
