Typically Sony exclusives get padded review scores so I'm surprised it's not in the 90's. It apparently shares the struggles of a lot of open world games but is pretty polished so I'm sure Marvel fans will enjoy it. I think I have this one on pre-order so it will be on my list of games to play.
Playing Divinity Original Sin II on Xbox One X and it's fantastic so far. They did a pretty good job porting this to consoles.
Can you elaborate on the bolded? I've never heard of this before.
I think it has to do with a lot more PS exclusive publications giving more favourable reviews due to the platform exclusivity. You see the same thing with a lot of Nintendo exclusives, that bet padded with an extra dozen 10/10 reviews from all the Nintendo specific publications.

That seems to be make sense. I've never really paid attention to metacritic scores or anything as I have a few sites I trust for reviews and go by them.
It's not like the recent Sony exclusives haven't deserved the great review scores though. If anything, Horizon Zero Dawn's average is lower than it deserves to be.
I have the Spider-Man collector's edition pre-ordered. Can't wait for this game.

I'm probably gonna get one of Call of Duty or Battlefield this year. Even though I haven't played one since Advanced Warfare, I'm leaning towards CoD honestly. A battle royale game with the polish of a AAA first person shooter? Yes please.

You get a limited edition PS4 Pro plus you get the Spiderman game and the Season Pass (I believe). If you're already buying the game and the Season Pass ($100) then maybe effectively a $399 PS4 Pro is worth it?
I have a PS4 Pro already and I still almost want that Spiderman Edition
I have a PS4 (launch). If EB Games has some sort of trade in promotion I may end up trying to do that. I red PS4 Pro would look out of place but maybe it'll be worth something later.
That Spider-man game convinced me to go buy a Ps4 today. First Playstation I've ever bought. Going to take advantage of using the 20x Shoppers Optimum points today and then they have a redemption sale on Saturday which I can hopefully cash out and get a 2nd controller.
