Little offensive outburst by the Flames, but unable to get any solid shots on goal.

Again, all of our offense is looking to be initiated by our defence or Poirier.

Flames going to the PP as Hakanpaa shot the puck over the boards and will get a delay of game call.

Flames finally have a cross bar work for them! Veilleux walks in and beats Ortio, but the bar bails him out.

Another post for Chicago. Ortio beat again, post bails him out.

Thank you hockey gods for turning those tables.

Thanks for the updates Drury18. How has Baertschi looked so far down there?

And what about Ferland?

Baertschi is being Baertschi. Has a game where he looks great, has two where he is invisible, he has one where he looks half decent, has one where he's playing dumb. Consistency is still an issue. This would be one of his "half decent" ones. Like Huska mentioned in his interview, putting him with Poirier hopefully that will get both of them being a little more consistent in their play. It looks like they are still nurturing his offensive side.

Ferland isn't being a huge offensive threat, but he is a physical one. He's using his body to let his linemates make plays and have room. They have him with Elson who has been someone Huska likes to use to get others going, but Agostino has been a bit of an offensive dud, so he's not really on a high talent line. It's more your pluggers that perhaps play more defensively then offensively.

Puck has dropped for the 3rd and less then 30 seconds in Ortio has to come up huge.

Wolves Goal

2-1 Flames

Again, the shift after a goal they let one in. This is an issue that needs to be addressed. Happens too much.

And Elson is going to take a penalty off the faceoff.

Elson got a "Faceoff Violation" penalty. I have no idea what that actually means.

Penalty killed by the Flames and now they are going on the PP as Arnold was tripped just as he was making a play to Elson coming out of the box.

Poirier is playing the point on this PP unit with Cundari.

Looks like Ferland, Hanowski and Reinhart up front.

Wolves just drive into Ortio and we will have 5 on 3 for 40 seconds.

No attempt to stop. Just went through Orts.

Adirondack calls a time out.

While it won't be an official assist, I'd like to give one to Ferland's behind as it was squarely in the face of the Wolves goalie so he never saw a thing.

Official assists will be Culkin and Baertschi

Teaser for the Poirier goal. It's from the Flames Twitter account, but poor video quality: https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/B5FJWsSCAAEVMDs.mp4
