Baertschi played on a line with Poirier and Arnold on Friday. They were very good. Sven had three scoring chances and set up at least three.

I saw a more assertive Sven, getting involved, not tentative. Arnold and Poirier are quick, tenacious on forecheck. Maybe that rubbed off.

Odd. That line combined for only 2 SOG the entire game. Baertschi didn't even register one.

Well on the highlights you do see Sven set-up Wolf for a decent chance... but they weren't on a line together according to those tweets... so who knows.

...and yes, that actually physically hurt me to say. I don't want to badmouth our prospects, but Vause has come in and worked his butt off. He should be playing as he's one of the most consistent players on the Flames in the last 5 games, but he's not Flames property. Seems unfair.

The way guys like Vause have to look at it is that he's getting a chance to audition for every NHL team. I'm sure he's grateful for the chance to open some eyes, but he knows the score of his situation.
