Baertschi doesn't even have a shot on goal. Looking at the stats, his entire line has a combined 0 SOG. Very odd. Seto is usually near the top of those numbers.

#13 - Turner Elson
Elson is an undrafted forward who was invited to the Flames Rookie Camp in 2011 and earned an NHL contract with the Flames. Elson played 4 years with the Red Deer Rebels (WHL) where he was Captain of the team before making the jump to pro last season splitting time between the Abbotsford Heat and Alaska Aces (ECHL). He was part of the Kelly Cup winning Aces team contributing 11 points during 21 games. Turner is currently playing on the final year of a 3 year, two way contract and will become a RFA at the end of the year.
Nice foreshadowing with the Elson spotlight!

I don't understand AHL coaching sometimes. Vause was awesome last game with Baertschi and Poirier. Why scratch him tonight?
I really REALLY hate to say it but Vause is a nobody off the street on a PTO. A nobody who is outplaying some of our prospects like Agostino, Arnold and dare I say Poirier (recently, not overall. Please don't hurt me), but the Flames have no vested interest in him. Mandate is probably to play our bodies, Vause is an extra body they signed to fill a hole and unfortunately, he's not needed anymore with all the guys back.
...and yes, that actually physically hurt me to say. I don't want to badmouth our prospects, but Vause has come in and worked his butt off. He should be playing as he's one of the most consistent players on the Flames in the last 5 games, but he's not Flames property. Seems unfair.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Arnold and Agostino hitting the wall. College players need an adjustment period to the pro grind. They just need to get their second wind.
Yea, I'm not too surprised about the college kids hitting the wall. Jooris and Hanowski did the same thing last year and look at them now.
I remember Ward saying something about expecting this from college players and you just have to help them work through it. Hopefully Huska has some experience within the system to draw from to do this as he wouldn't have any experience himself about this situation.
