I was wondering the same thing about him 'earning it'. But I'm sure they see the talent that he has too. I think he may be up after the new year but there's a line up still even after the injuries on the big club.

He turns 20 before the end of the year. The CHL uses Dec. 31 as their cut off while the NHL uses Sept. 15 as their cut off for draft purposes.

because the agreement between the NHL/CHL is they have to go back to the CHL UNLESS they have 4 seasons in the CHL OR they turn 20 before December 31.

Poirier turns 20 on December 14.
