Yeah, this seems to be the general consensus on the IWC sites I frequent.
Plus the nxt booking, who had adam cole and gargano in the build up to the takeover match and even the gargano title match last week were calling him a fraud

Without his ridiculous-even-by-over-the-top-NXT-standards entrance, when Kross was stalking to the ring last week (or the week before), someone I was watching with commented that he had the energy of an annoyed father going to the movie theater box office to demand a ticket refund.
He's booked and talked about like a monster in NXT, and it just doesn't fit him.

Honestly when they took Heyman off of talking smack I was like the best part of the show is gone, and I like Kayla.
Heyman is a franchise on his own, probably one of the best hype men in the history of the business. You could compare him to Bobby, except that Heyman makes you think this is serious.

As someone who is anything but an E-stan, Roman's promo tonight was fire. Too bad they're going bury Finn again, but thems the breaks.
I still think the "belt collector" angle is more intriguing, especially with Kenny going after lesser titles such as the X-Division and NEVER, but this was solid work.
Welp, was not expecting to see a Nick Gage style death match on TV tonight.I thought we'd get the pg version of things, but nope, we got pizza cutters, light tubes and glass. Can't believe Jericho agreed to it, but good on him for pulling it off.
This MJF storyline and the gauntlet of matches really seems like a Jericho retirement tour. You don't do a deathmatch at his age without it being a final career bucket list item. You also don't have a long-game story on sequential high profile TV episodes without a really huge audience (and Jericho watches the ratings closely).
I smell retirement coming after he hands the torch to MJF when this wraps up.
Was reading Tito this morning and it sounds like AT&T is freaking out about the Jericho Gage match as nobody told them that it was going to be a death match with lightbulbs.

So that United center Friday night show has to be punks return
They couldn't book that city and that venue and have leaned so hard into it with Darby and stings promo, for it not to be
Seems very dumb to debut the guy on a show that will draw fewer viewers than dynamite. But I guess they will take the extra night of ticket over the viewership.
From the 2nd quarter WWE earnings meeting, when they were asked about AEW.
Quote:
Vince was asked about AEW during today’s WWE Q2 2021 earnings call with investors. The caller noted that AEW seems to be making significant investments with their roster, and they are gaining in viewership, especially in the 18-49 key demographic. He asked Vince how WWE currently views AEW as competition, and if he feels WWE needs to counter AEW’s investments with their own additional roster investments, seeing as how WWE and AEW could be competing for media rights in the future, or if this is a “rising tides lift all boats” type of situation like there was back in the day with WCW.
“Well, it certainly is not a situation where ‘rising tides’ because that was when Ted Turner was coming after us with all of Time Warner’s assets as well,” Vince responded. “That was a different situation. AEW is where they are. I don’t really know what their plans are, all I know is what our plans are.
“I don’t consider them competition in the way that I would consider WCW back in the day, not anywhere near close to that. And I’m not so sure what their investments are as far as their talent is concerned, but perhaps we can give them some more.”
Vince did not elaborate on that last line.
WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan chimed in with additional comments on how WWE sees everything as competition, including sleep.
“I think the way we always look at these situations, you know, it’s sort of like a horse race where the horse has blinders on,” Khan added. “We’re looking straight ahead at our lane and making sure that we stay in the front of the pack. At the same time, everything is our competition. Someone had a line a couple of weeks ago, that we all chuckled at and agreed with – sleep is our competition. Right?
“If it was up to us, people could be up 24 hours a day, watching content from different content providers, hopefully including ours. So, we don’t look at any organization particularly as competition, yet we see everything as competitive with what we’re trying to do, in terms of eyeballs.”

Naw this is always how it happens, when smackdown started the first few shows were huge, same when it went live
They want to get people in the habit of watching the new show, those first few shows were always gonna be stacked, this is just another level
