Incoming, more Russian podcasts with lots of long sighing and exhaling.
Don’t need to speak the language or have subtitles. The tone and body language says it all.
The mighty Russian military getting pummeled by a ragtag group made up with a lot of civilians and women on the front line, they're shocked and embarrassed.
Russia still doesn’t want to send planes into Ukraine controlled ground because their planes can be shot down. Both sides are using Su-24/25s I think which are the ground attack craft. Otherwise not much. Ukraine through all of this has had a functioning Air Force.

This is a really good video about Germany's energy situation and how it is entangled with the Russian war against Ukraine. Probably nothing that most people here don't already know, but it is just laid out really well.

Question; I've read much about the fighting on the ground. What about the air?
After the disastrous loss of planes in Saky Crimea, Russia moved their remaining planes out of Crimea out of fear of getting more losses on the ground. Russia has lost over 250 planes since the start of the war, and is very reluctant to use them as they can be shot down with relative ease now by Ukraine.
Ukraine also has lot a lot of planes but to still be able to fly when Russia should have had air supremacy on paper within weeks shows the failures of Putin
Outside of the Kherson breakthrough which is huge, UA has also liberated Borova today and into Luhansk proper. Add to this the inevitable encirclement of Kreminna and Svatove with the fall of Lyman and this will be the shortest 'annexation' in world history.
The new big Russian failure making social media rounds right now, that has much bigger consequences then realized, is how 1.5 million winter military uniforms that are supposed to exist on paper, just went poof. Russia's biggest enemy this whole war has been its systemic corruption from top to bottom.
Russia backed itself in a corner by announcing the annexation of areas they are in the process of losing.
They don't want to start sending off nukes based on their claim of defending Russia proper knowing the repercussions, and don't want to admit they are in the process of losing annexed territory. So now you have the vague "we are determining the borders"
RIP Lyman Russia EST Sep 30 2022 - Oct 1 2022
Also that concert parade in front of the Kremlin that was televised had all the cheers edited in. The reality on the ground was much different, with people forced to be part of the concert and mocking the charade.

These conscripts are going to freeze.. no doubt about it. The logistical failure is astounding. I'd pack more for a day trip to Kananaskis than what a lot of these mobilized people do

I'm not really sure ragtag is the best way to describe the Ukrainian Army at this point.

An article from the WSJ summarizing the shifting of some companies to the US due to the energy crisis in Europe. Aligns with Blinken's statement last week that the destruction of the Nordstream pipeline present a tremendous strategic opportunity for America.
