This is terrible. If only Eisenhower had warned us of the dangers of the Pillow Industrial Complex.

Now it's just getting weird.

“The dating app Bumble temporarily suspended its political filter in the US after multiple people tweeted about using it to find conservatives who took part in last week’s Capitol insurrection and turn them into law-enforcement authorities."

I follow a couple of grey hat hackers on Twitter and that community seem full court press on finding everyone they can and reporting them to the FBI.

There are a lot of groups taking this opportunity to fight back in a legal manner against anyone involved in this.

"Grey" hat hackers. Huh...never heard that one before. What's the motivation for that group? What's their code of conduct?

Black hat = ill intent
White hat = Work for the institution being hacked to test security

Grey hat = Just for the sport of it?

For the sport of it generally falls under a black hat, a grey hat is a hacker that will cross the ethical standards or principles (and depending on the country cross legal boundaries) but are often operating for the general good.

I personally would consider Snowden as an example of a grey hat hacker, he was trying to blow the whistle on the NSA and cross legal boundaries to do it. Though calling him a hacker is probably very generous since he had access to the system, but I think it's a good example.

I love that everyone just calls him the Mr. Pillow Guy and can't be bothered to learn his name. Even on CNN they were using it when trying to be serious.

It's too bad he is a seditious weirdo because it such a cute non-threatening nickname.

Michael Lindell.

Mike Lindell.

MyPillow guy. Mr. Pillow.

The fact I know his name as it relates to a political realm is a massive failure of...of, I guess, everything?

Lol.

A new Quinnipiac University poll finds that President Donald Trump's approval rating stands at 33%, while his disapproval is at 60%.

An average of recent polls finds Trump with a 38% approval rating and 59% disapproval rating.

A big question during the Trump presidency was whether anything could actually move the public opinion needle. It turns out that the insurrection at the US Capitol last week did exactly that.

The result is that Trump's final first term approval rating looks to be the lowest on record dating back since scientific polling began.
Quote:
Trump has even seen a decline among his once heralded base. His approval rating with Republicans has dropped into the mid-high 70s in the average poll taken over the last week. It's usually in the high 80s to mid-90s. It was 95% in the general election exit poll.
