That's one thing that makes me a bit nuts, because I will play just to make money... when you get guys who can't even stay on script enough to complete basic tasks
I have a pretty short fuse, if it's not done the second or third try then I'm out.
I spend a lot of time on load screens unfortunately.

Yeah, I gave up. I want to make money but dealing with those guys is just ridiculous. It's a chore sometimes to even get the idiots to realize which partner they need to get in a car with.

I gave up on heists as well, it's fine with people you know but impossible with randoms
The worst thing for me was just getting a game started. Someone leaves and the whole missions cancelled

I gave up because of the voice chat, I can't stand the 12 year old kids screaming and trash talking everyone.

I wonder how much of that is platform specific.
I play GTA on PC and experience much less of those sorts of problems than I have playing on ps4.

I think another problem with PS4 is most people don't have headsets (except for the ####head 12 year-olds). Most PC gamers I know would be appalled at the idea of playing without a headset.

I'm PC, started with PS3. I've generally always played with voice chat off. Voice chat makes me suicidal

I'm on pc and had to turn off the voice chat just because hearing most of the conversations about nothing was annoying.
I usually don't do too many heists because i'm pretty terrible at this game and don't want to cause others to fail at the heist.

I use chat on missions if I'm with a good crew or I'm in a party, other than that it's usually just random noise

Yeah I always turn voice chat off unless it's EASHL with CP'ers. The voice chat openness in GTA 5 is brutal, little kids have zero clue how annoying they are.

So it's looking more and more likely that we will NOT be seeing any single-player DLC for GTA 5. Such a shame as an already rich world could be expanded on in many different interesting ways.
Never understood the attraction to multi-player on these kinds of games. Of course, I'm a single-player gamer (almost exclusively) and thoroughly enjoyed the GTA 5 campaign and characters.

Man that BLOWS. My assumption is game developers are getting better and better at finding where the money is, and it's in this kind of DLC. They've probably got legions of people spending the games worth every month on in-game currency. It's an unfortunate direction imo, but I can't fault the developers for chasing the profit.

I was playing a 10-minute deathmatch in CS:GO the other day, and there was a kid just repeating "nope, no, no, NOPE, nope, nope, no no" for literally 10 straight minutes over voice. No matter what anybody did or said, he just continued.
I was actually impressed with his stamina, although I didn't give him the satisfaction of admitting that.

Such a joke. You're right, there's so much of that world that deserves more story time. Actually I just assumed that's why Franklin's story basically just petered out halfway through the game, as I thought they were saving it for a DLC. The whole Strawberry area certainly deserves more attention, love the vibe there. Got kind of a San Andreas thing going on.
Hate games that primarily cater to MP, especially titles that have historically been SP only - like GTA.

More new content in the past week or so... lowriders!
Also, I bought a Range Rover and painted it yellow. It's an homage to one of my favorite films
