1. Calgary players only
2. I'll look at games played, production and PPG to list options.
3. My cut off won't effect options as I'll go deeper than required
4. I'll label them by rank (3rd line LW) but don't select the player that matches that role the best, pick the best player.
Day to Day
We elect a position, say 2nd line RW, remove that name and do the 3rd line RW the next day.
I'll post a summary as we go along.
Calgary Flames All Time Roster
Gary Roberts - Joe Nieuwendyk - Jarome Iginla
Johnny Gaudreau - Doug Gilmour - Theo Fleury
Matthew Tkachuk - Sean Monahan - Lanny McDonald
Alex Tanguay - Joel Otto - Joe Mullen

Al MacInnis - Mark Giordano
Gary Suter - D4
D5 - D6

Regehr is quite simply one of the 10 greatest Flames of all time. Warrior.

Tough call between Reinhart and Regehr. I normally pick offence over defence but will go with Regehr for his longevity as an elite defensive player. Definitely picking Reinhart for #5 though.

Quite remarkable that a player who played important roles in 2 World Cups and 2 Olympics has zero votes.
ok I think I know who we are talking about here- I like the player and he was way better than given credit for while here, but still his time here (compared to others on the list- and partly the results of the teams he played on) did leave me at least wanting more. (specifically- and this may be where the problem lies- he made those teams both before and after he was here, but not while he was here)
(I hope we aren't talking about Tommy Albelin or something because then I've really messed up )
JBo? He didn’t make any of those teams while on the Flames although was a reserve in 2010.
I believe the only Flames defence to make a best on best team Canada are MacInnis in 1991 and Regehr in 2004 and 2006.
Edit: also Regehr in 2005 if you count the lockout World Championship as a best on best.
Reinhart made team Canada in 81 (over Coffey who was the last cut).
Macoun also made the team interestingly (of sorts) in 1991. there was a 20 man roster, but they carried 3 extras (Yzerman, Macoun and Tinordi), it became clear they had no intention of using Yzerman and I think he left...the other 2 were the black aces and I believe Tinordi ultimately dressed for some games, Macoun did not

I’d blame Brent Sutter. At the start of that season the Flames looked to have three defencemen penciled into Team Canada. By the time selection came around only JBo was picked as a reserve and that was more based on past experience than current play.

Before my time, but McCrimmon was a Norris runner-up while donning the Flaming C... which is hugely impressive considering that he was on a team with McInnis, Suter, and Reinhart. He is being criminally underrated in this thread.
Housley was quite good in his two stints. Certainly was a breathe of fresh air in the Young Guns era.
There's also Reinhart and Macoun.
Regehr was good, but at least two of those guys were a level above him.
