If the answer is in Edmonton or Vancouver, it must have been a stupid question.

Looked for the Dhaliwal tweet where he says the Flames are after Stetcher. Only found one saying the Canucks might circle back to him now that Tanev is gone. If anyone else has the link to the Flames/Stetcher tweet can you please post it? Thanks!

Don't think it was a tweet, think it was said on the radio

What about Hanifin to Boston? They are now Krug-less.

Not a good idea.
Hanifin needs to take a big step this year if we hope to have a stable backend.
Our defence looks sketchy already, sending out Hanifin is just going to make things worse.

Re some posters' mock line-ups: if this team plays Petrovic over Kylington, I will absolutely lose my ####.

If we trade hanifin we might be playing both. But to me, the stetcher rumor already basically confirms that management doesn't trust kylington to play regularly. If that's the case we should trade him.

You know what - flames love the 2013 draft year. At some point all 1st rounders that are available will make their way through the Flames.
Nichushkin for a 2 year deal
Make it happen.
Dube - bennett - Nichushkin

It’s a stretch for sure but Kylington has proved nothing. The guy has some great tools but his decision making is horrid.

Carlo Colaiacovo @CarloColaiacovo
Alex Pietrangelo will spend the day evaluating his options and is not expected to make his decision today.

I don't understand why some think salary for Ryan needs to be retained. I think a team looking for center depth will easily give up a pick for a 35-40sh point player who plays on the bottom six and only has 1 year remaining at $3.1 MM.
I also think Rittich should be traded (he may also want a fresh start after Markstrom) and I hope there are teams out there that may be interested. Maybe Chicago, Detroit, or St. louis. Rittich has the potential to be a starter and is on the right side of age 30.
Then, I would replace those guys with: Gawdin + Dell . These guys should make a combined $2 MM.
The Flames will then save $3.88 MM which will give them some breathing space to make other big moves. Its also enough cap space to sign Hall and spend a few months to maneuver the cap with some trades.

I suspect to a lot of posters that had to do with handed ness. But really, that’s the 6D spot, so at that point it’s just a name filling in a blank. In reality any player in the 6D spot is likely a platoon.

Any rumours on who the Oilers go after in net? Surely they don't plan on Anton Forsberg taking an NHL spot, right?
Greiss maybe?

Multiple teams. Multiple options be sorted through by the Hall camp this morning. Working on carving out a short list of clubs.

I heard he was waiting on a team or teams to clear cap space for him. There’s a couple teams that fit that bill, including Calgary.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane (3.0)
M. Lucic - S. Bennett - D. Dube
XXXXXX - D. Ryan - XXXXXX
XXXXXX
Giordano - Tanev
Hanifin - Andersson
Valimaki - Petrovic
Kylington (0.8)
Markstrom
Rittich
Leaves only $1.9 million of cap space.
Some major #### is still going to go down IMO.

They currently sit with 6.4 million in cap space
