Allot of people around here wanted us to trade for Hayes at the deadline. He played just over 8 minutes tonight and looks completely uninterested. Jets traded Lemieux and a 1st for him.
Think we dodged a big bullet there.

not surprised about the racial elitist undertones of the jets fanfest. this is a province whose provincial legislature is crowned with a statue (the golden boy) that mocks senior citizens and young men in one fell swoop.
as I recall, MacLean magazine profiled this racist city as being.one of Canada's most racist

I knew i should have picked the blues but I was so hoping the jets would return to the team they where early this season. Oh well at this rate I think they will get swept

Do you have any idea how many people you are offending with the phrase 'tone deaf?'
You shouldn't be writing that, it makes deaf people feel bad when they read it. Instead, you should say it out loud. That way, no one gets hurt feelings.

Though not as famous as the All Blacks, NZ's soccer team is officially called the All Whites also.

If they get it to game 5, Taxi drivers in Winnipeg should unite and speak a language other than English when Binnington gets into their cab to just drive his narrow mind nuts. Get under his skin by highlighting his own intolerance.

I'd prefer the Jets win because the Blues scare the hell out of me.

There's no doubt they are in trouble but if they win the next game they are right back into it. If they lose the next game then it's over as they just aren't playing well enough to roll off four straight against a team that's playing well right now in the Blues.

Ideally the Jets would at least take them to 6 or 7 games because the Blues have size and speed which has always given the Flames fits. If Binnington keeps playing at his current pace they will be a very difficult opponent.

There has been something wrong with the Jets this year. They at times look like a lazy, entitled team. I think their leadership is suspect.
If they were playing any other team then the Blues I'd say there was a chance of a comeback just based on talent alone. I don't see that against this Blues team, especially going to St Louis where matchups really work in St Louis' favor.
Not to use a Edmonton terms but its not a matter of if, its a matter of how many.
I would expect that the Jets are one good push from giving up.

That's one game, but look at it as two.
Won both in St. Louis and they're right back into it.
Lose both and well the series might be over
But split has them down 3-1 and having to win three in a row to advance (potentially four in a row if they lose game three).
As far as the White Out ... I'm not from Winnipeg or Manitoba, but does anyone really believe the term White Out has anything but a hockey team and it's fans to it? They wanted to counter the Calgary red, picked white in the 80s and now it's a thing.

It's pretty simple...one goalie has been much better. Reminds me of Flames/Ducks 2017

When it comes to goaltenders you should never, ever give a guy a long term deal based on one season of play as we have seen so many goaltenders get really hot for sustained periods only to never be able to play at that level again. If you look at his career last season seems like a bit of an outlier for him and he's probably more of a league average goaltender than elite.
